The English ladder General course will provide you with a step by step guide on how to improve your English in almost every aspect like Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking, Grammar & Pronunciation. The online placement test identifies your level of English and places you at the right level where we take responsibility into our hands in your journey of accessing the world of English. The context of the lessons will cover a range of topics relevant to different social, academic and professional environments.

By the end of the course, you will:

• Work in pairs and groups to develop real-life communication skills in the class.
• Practice your listening, speaking, reading and writing using a range of interesting materials and classroom activities.
• Become an independent language learner and communicate effectively face-to-face, expressing opinions and presenting arguments.
• Enjoy learning English.
• Focus on developing various 21st-century skills like collaboration, decision making, digital skills, critical thinking etc.
• Focus on academic skills like researching, referencing, note taking, summarizing, report writing etc. that will give you more confidence when you step into the world of higher education.
• Focus on several skills and language elements required at a workplace like writing emails, expressing opinions, conducting meetings, making negotiations, presentation skills etc.

Online lessons and guided learning can be accessed using a desktop computer, laptop or tablet. For your learning experience to be effective, you will need to make sure that you have access to:

• A microphone (for online classes) – if you have a headset or headphones with a built-in microphone this is ideal.
• A speaker and a webcam (for online classes).
